The First Episode of the Second Year of CCTV's Video News Magazine, 'You Are Here' premiers on Cambridge Channel 10 at 8:30 PM on Monday August 14. This show will also be screened for the public at CCTV, 675 Mass. Ave., where the show's segment producers will be available to discuss stories. Food and drinks will be served.
This show will include five stories of special interest to Cantabridgians,
including two by 'You Are Here' prize winning videographers. These
include:
'The Zeitgeist: Theater, Gallery or Both?', a report on a Cambridge
Zoning Board hearing to decide if the 'Zeitgeist' can hold performances in
their gallery, produced by Matt Fullerton & Birgit Werner;
'African Educational Opportunities Foundation', on an organization
providing funding for students in Africa produced by Paul Lopez & Baoyan
Cheng;
'Introduction to Marie Caso', a winner of the Hometown Video Festival
Winner and senior participant of Computer Central who created a Digital
Story on Eleanor Roosevelt produced by Angel Aiguier;
'Circle Project Workshop', a story on a Cambridge Arts Workshop by
Elizabeth Belstraz;
'Cambridge for Bhopal', an introduction to a Cambridge Campaign asking the
city council to adopt a resolution supporting the inhabitants of Bhopal,
India, in their struggle to recover from the Union Carbide disaster over
20 years ago. Produced by Matt Fullerton and Birgit Werner.
The show will be on air three times a week on CCTV; Along with the Monday
evening showing at 8.30pm (Channel 10), viewers can also catch You Are
Here on Channel 9 at 9 am Thursdays and Channel 10 at 5 pm Sundays.
YAH producers meet regularly on Monday evenings from 6:30-9 at CCTV, and
welcomes prospective new producers of news videos.
