Executive Producer - Birgit Werner

  • Manages and oversees all aspects of the show from start to finish
  • Checks in with Segment Producers to ensure show's progress; refers Segment Producers to resources and assists them with difficulties as they arise
  • Checks in with all other group leaders to ensure show's progress
  • Conducts outreach for relevant classes to encourage producers' professional development
  • Lends a hand in other areas, time permitting/if EP wants to take on additional responsibilities


News Director

  • Responsible for maintaining the professional, journalistic quality of the show
  • Oversees content issues (1)
  • Networks with other journalists and news sources in the community
  • Makes certain that a critique session happens after each episode
  • Makes certain that roles and responsibilities are reevaluated after each episode


Technical Director - Buz Owen

  • Responsible for checking in with producers and helping them edit their segments
  • Ensures the show's continuity and overall "look"
  • Responsible for editing together the final cut of the show, and incorporating feedback from the group regarding its assembly


Outreach Director

  • Creates marketing and publicity for the show
  • Calls and invites new members to participate in the production group
  • Networks with and engages the Cambridge community in the news show
  • Maintains and updates a list of the group's voting membership.


Meeting Facilitaor

  • Creates agendas and distributes copies at each meeting
  • Reserves facility space for meetings
  • Sends out email meeting notices and makes reminder calls
  • Takes minutes for each meeting and distributes them over the listserv and at meetings
  • Archives meeting minutes and agendas in sustainability binder
  • Maintains and periodically updates contact list
  • Timekeeping at meetings


Art Director

  • Inspires the artistic aspects of the show
  • Responsible for logos, appearance, pace and such creative matters


Web Master - Matt Fullerton

  • Manages the website and streaming issues


CCTV Liasion - Jamie O'Brien

  • Manages the news listserv
  • Provides crew referral list from CCTV database, and other resources, upon request
  • Serves as an informal liaison between the news show and CCTV


===1=== Maintains CCTV's normal programming restrictions, keeps the show locally relevant and focused on Cambridge (see: Mission Statement), makes certain that sources are all correctly attributed and no copyright violations occur.
