Meeting minutes changes:

Agenda:

Jim wants to deal with "mission statement" next week:

Let's get this off our list of on-going items.

Moogie wants to be a soldier, not an officer, because he can't do the time committment.

Moogie has great footage from show at green street grill.

Employed improvisational armpit microphone holding technique and managed to do one-man interviews!

Moogie has some interesting news about future plans for two (unnamed) local clubs. News segment?

We discuss candidates for positions

Concerns:

Andrew asks Matt if he will "kick our asses" Matt says he will do so, employ email extensively, "galvanize" the group.

We agree that Matt should have the job.


News Director:

Andrew & Steve running (Steve not present)

Andrew is interested in being News Director for a few shows, probably wants to give other people a chance after that.

Andrew's Vision?

Make it as much of a "News magazine show" as possible

We discuss Steve: He could assist.

We agree that Andrew should have the position.


Technical Director:

Renato: May need some help with editing, but has good experience.

Several of us volunteer help

We agree on Renato.


Outreach director

We agree that Ann should take this role.


Meeting Facilitator:

Buz and Jim

Jim says he would delegate lots of stuff, especially running meetings.

Meeting facilitator role given to Jim


Andrew has to return to a class. Notes that for urgent matters: phone is best 617 780-7151. Email works too, but phone will be faster.


Angel: email best way to contact her, phone second

Jim: has rough parts of a piece on bike week. 5 minute segment


Matt & Birgit: North Cambridge Arts piece: becoming more compicated

-- crazy editing tricks. May be short, 3-5 mins.


Angel: Feeling unfocused after all administration.

Idea: asking kids what they want to do for summer: interviews with kids in schoolyard. Angel says she may "possibly" have some footage for next week. Look at summer programs, camps.


Moogie & Renato: Big brother piece needs 2 hrs of editing to be done.

Need to level the audio.


Moogie: (Shot, wants to have ready for next show) Butch Morris live at the Green Street Grille (Conduction 153), Some audio may need re-recording/replacement. interview with John Clifford. May need editing help.


Moogie: (planning/some shooting) May need some reshooting help. Every Sunday, Africa night. Has some footage, wants crew for more Sunday night shoots.


Moogie: (In planning) Neeman Foundation: Journalism program at Harvard. Possible people for roundtable, Possible speakers for group idea generation.


(Steve): Jamnastics piece (shot saturday) -- dance performance at MIT.


(Jen): Badminton piece?


(Ann): Piece?


Action items:

  • Renato will get dump of all stuff from Ken.
  • All: If you can get footage of kids on what they will be doing for the summer, info on summer programs, give to Angel.
