Present: Ann, Paul, Birgit, Matt, Buz, Terrence, Sergio, Jeff, Andrew P

Buz will leave to get the improved show ready for 8.30. He was missing a file. Matt's fault.

People discuss the possible intern. Minutes are sketchy as Matt went away to get a hard disk.

Terrence wants us to find someone else ourselves.

Buz said we tried this before but then we have to work with a professor.

Birgit says why not just take the person who's been offered.

Terrence very much feels... something, I've lost track, but he's very passionate. He holds Jenn responsible for our lack of sound at our shoot. Don't depend on people who haven't proved themselves. He wants to look for an intern himself. 45 years of political experience.

Birgit asks what Jenn had to do with our lack of sound. Matt asks Terrence to consider all of Jenn's other contributions, many before he was here. Terrence takes responsibility for the lack of sound, and accuses the group of desperately trying to get an intern. Matt explains this is not the case.

We conclude there is no problem with taking an intern now, and continuing to search for another one. Terrence is very keen that it is minuted that HE is looking for an intern. It has been minuted already above.

So what is the role of an intern compared to a regular group member. (Andrew P). Light discussion. We will now talk to Jamie. Terrence goes to get him.

Sergio asks what the objective of the group is.

Jamie introduces himself. He is a new intern and he is able to organize and edit.

Paul asks what his time commitment is. 4-10 hours is his guess. Is happy to shoot. He works full time, but he has Thursdays off.

He will do whatever we want. He is willing to do anything we need. Is an Art School graduate. Jamie asks a little of what we do. Terrence explains what we do, and talks about a segment that Birgit was involved in filming, and starts to talk in particular about this segment.

Jenn visits briefly.

Jamie is interested in producing a segment. He's concerned about not having a pulse on the city. He liked the Zeitgeist piece. Matt asks if he's willing to do research for stories.

Discussion about the Chronicle/competition.

Review of the show. NStar piece. Andrew feels it could have been edited more, but liked having Denise Simmons there. Jeff feels DS bit was too long. Terrence thinks it was because it was in her living room. More positive discussion.

Terrence walked through Area 4 when it was dark. Buz thinks it looks a little fuzzy (the interview). Terrence wants little lights for the cameras

John Judge on 9/11

Matt was worried it wasn't coherent. But people liked it anyway. Talk about audio sync issues.

Interview with John Wunjo

Buz describes his editing strategy. Camera angles. Jeff concerned that he looked a little 'nutty'. But only a little. Likes that he left the name explanation to the end. Gives Ann credit for the order of the questions.

Viewers reaction to WTC

Edited by D.L Polanski. Buz mentions that Terrence didn't include anything about the film. Terrence wanted the title to be '9/11 at the Loews'.

Katrina Photos

Discussion about why footage wasn't used. We agree it was LP issues. We liked the photos. Jeff thinks they were just 'floating', needed titles? Elizabeth thinks they were ok on their own.

NEXT EPISODE.

Elizabeth talks about the exhibit she's involved in. Talks about what she wants from a piece.

Still photos of gallery without people. We can get in for free. We can get WGBH sound. Very left wing event. Good if we can have press passes.

We rearrange meeting to take place next Sunday at 6.30 in CCTV.

Khatami piece. Matt and Birgit have CSPAN footage that they may or may not use.

Birgit and Terrence already filmed stuff at the Cambridge Homeless Coalition. It could be integrated with the next piece...

The CHAF PR representative who's email reached the list; Matt is waiting for interview times. Terrence will give a guy who spoke at the coalition meeting's phone number to Matt.

We go back to talking about artists. Releases - its important to get them.
