Fri, Aug 19, 5pm Deadline for municipal candidates to withdraw nomination.
Wed, Oct 19, 8pm Last day and hour to register to vote for the city election. The Election Commission office will be open until 8pm. Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by this date.
Tues, Nov 8 Municipal Election Day. Polls open from 7am until 8pm. Preliminary results (not including auxiliary ballots) will be released that evening as soon as all 33 precincts have reported.
Wed, Nov 9 Tallying of ballots is completed, unofficial results are released. However, recent changes in federal law now mandate that 10 days must pass to allow for any overseas absentee ballots to arrive. At the end of 10 days (approx. Nov 19), the official election tally will take place including any additional ballots. Though improbable, it is possible that these official results could differ from the unofficial results in a close election.
