Quick Guide to the YAHWiki

There are two very useful features of a wiki:
- The first is the easy editor, which will insert the formatting letters for you to make text bold, italic, underlined etc.
- The second useful feature is how easy it is to create new pages. To do this just enclose text inside double square brackets when editing, [[like this]]. The link will initially appear red, but when you click on it you will have an editor window and you can fill the page with content. From then on the link will be blue.
The YAHWiki has some special permissions to help everything run smoothly. Almost everything is world readable. We are an open community group, so it makes sense for us to be open about our process. Most things are editable (that goes for creating new pages too) by group members. To become a member, send an email to wiki@youareherenews.org or attend one of our meetings.
Some documents are publicly writeable, generally pages where the public is invited to contribute. These pages are in the 'Public:' namespace. If you want to create a page that is publicly writeable name it in the format Public:PageNameHere .
Some documents are private, and readable by group members only. These pages are in the 'Protected:' namespace. If you want to create a page that is neither publicly readable or writeable name it in the format Protected:PageNameHere .
